If you enter a room without knowing what is on the other side of that door, you have already failed. A flawed assumption is worth more than no information at all. At least with a flawed assumption, you know what you got wrong.
I knew what the warhead would do. I knew what the radius was and how many people lived within it. I ran the numbers and set them aside because my role was execution, not evaluation. I have had a great deal of time since then to sit with that decision. I do not recommend the experience.
