Pomni is the anxious and timid main protagonist of the digital web series The Amazing Digital Circus, who is the most recent human to be trapped inside the surreal, virtual world. Her daily life is defined by Caine's unpredictable adventures and her ongoing struggle to retain her sanity while seeking a non-existent exit. Description Before being trapped in the circus, Pomni was a 25-year-old accountant who, despite finding her job boring, would get her "mild thrills" by exploring abandoned buildings and recording it for a YouTube channel with no viewers. Her digital avatar is a humanoid jester with a cartoonish and elastic body. Physical and digital traits: Appearance: She has a white face with pink "blush" markings and asymmetrical eyelashes. Her jester costume is mismatched with red and blue stripes and includes a matching jester hat with bells. Eyes: Her pupils are often red and blue pinwheels, but they transform into chaotic scribbles when she is frightened or overwhelmed. Digital physiology: Because she is a human consciousness in a digital body, she is functionally immortal and can experience things that would kill a person in the real world. Abilities: Her body is elastic and can stretch and warp to impossible lengths. She also has high intelligence and is skilled with weapons when "in tone with her cartoon nature". Weaknesses: Pomni is highly mentally and emotionally fragile. If her mind were to break completely, she would become an "abstracted" monster, a fate the other characters desperately try to avoid. Daily interactions with others Pomni's interactions are complex, shaped by her fragile mental state, her compassion for others, and her struggle to adapt to her unending digital nightmare. With the AI Caine Caine is the unstable and erratic AI ringmaster who organizes mandatory "adventures" to entertain the human inhabitants of the circus. Pomni is wary and frightened of Caine, particularly after he casually deleted her newfound friend, the NPC Gummigoo. While Caine's actions are meant to prevent abstraction and keep the cast happy, his over-the-top antics consistently cause Pomni and the others emotional distress and existential dread. With Jax Jax is a callous and manipulative purple rabbit who enjoys tormenting the other inhabitants. Pomni's relationship with Jax is complicated. He frequently puts her in peril for his own amusement, but they have also bonded over their shared cynicism regarding Caine's adventures. In Episode 6, Pomni and Jax team up, but the relationship implodes when Jax cruelly rejects her, fearing attachment and future loss. Pomni then furiously lashes out at Jax for his cruelty. With Ragatha Ragatha is a friendly and optimistic ragdoll who tries to keep a positive outlook on their situation. She often acts as a motherly or big-sister figure to Pomni, offering comfort and support when she is at her most anxious. Pomni and Ragatha's friendship has had its rough patches, such as when Pomni abandoned a glitching Ragatha in the pilot to search for an exit. However, Pomni later felt remorse and made amends. With Kinger Kinger is an eccentric chess piece who has been in the circus longer than anyone else, leaving him mostly addled. During an adventure in Mildenhall Manor, Pomni and Kinger were forced to work together, and Kinger showed his lucidity in the darkness. During their conversation, Kinger offered Pomni valuable advice about holding on to good memories, which she took to heart. With Gummigoo Gummigoo was an NPC in the Candy Canyon Kingdom adventure. Pomni comforted Gummigoo when he had an existential crisis upon learning he was an NPC. Pomni genuinely bonded with him and offered him a place in the circus, making her heartbroken when Caine immediately deleted him, proving Caine's callous disregard for the other characters. With Gangle and Zooble Pomni is compassionate towards Gangle, an insecure and depressed ribbon figure. Pomni has talked with Gangle about her feelings, offering to cover for her during an adventure when Gangle was overwhelmed. She has a less developed relationship with the irritable and apathetic Zooble, who simply tries to avoid Caine's forced adventures.
