The Diamond System is LIVE!

The wait is over! We are incredibly excited to announce that the Diamond Credit System is officially live on OpenRP.

This update marks a huge milestone for us. It enables a transparent, sustainable future for the platform and, best of all, allows us to give you access to the absolute bleeding edge of AI technology immediately.

How does it work?

Instead of gated behind a Plus subscription, all paid models will now be available for use by spending Diamonds. We first estimate the cost in the model picker (above), then once the message is generated, we deduct the actual cost based on the amount of input and output tokens used, by using the price from the provider.

For example, Claude Opus 4.5 costs $5 / million input tokens and $25 / million output tokens, and since $1 = 1000 Diamonds, this becomes 5 Diamonds / 1000 input tokens and 25 Diamonds / 1000 output tokens. A standard response uses 4000 input tokens and 250 output tokens, so you see an estimate of 27 Diamonds per message in the model selector (rounded up). However, when the actual message is generated, we redo the calculation based on the actual token spent, which is often lower.

You can view the details of each generated message by clicking on the "View metadata" button under every message, which will bring up a window like below.

You can also view details of your balance in the new Billing settings.

With the Diamond system, we are no longer restricted by costs. This means we can offer you the most powerful models in the world with no markup in price. Starting today, you can use your Diamonds to chat with:

  • Gemini 3 Pro
  • Gemini 3 Flash
  • GPT-5.2
  • o4-mini
  • Claude Opus 4.5
  • Claude Sonnet 4.5
  • Claude Haiku 4.5

Powerful free options

But wait, with a detailed prompt, our free models offer just as much creativity, and you don't need to spend a dime to have a great experience. Our updated roster of free models now includes:

  • GPT-5 Mini (an incredibly powerful new addition, available until March 2026)
  • GPT-4o mini
  • DeepSeek V3.2
  • Gemini 2.5 Flash

These do not support changing the memory length. If you would like to use these models with longer context, we added paid versions for these as well, at the standard model API price.
